Skate Shop Day is a day to celebrate the skateboarding community and the shops that support it. It's a day to show appreciation for the staff, customers, and skaters who make up the skate shop culture. 
How it started
The first Skate Shop Day was celebrated on February 19, 2020. 
It was created by Scotty Coats and a friend who grew up loving skateboarding and music. 
The day is supported by a collective of skate shop owners from around the world.
